Food is present in times of celebration and sorrow. For me, the act of cooking is cathartic and therapeutic. I’m not quite sure how I stumbled upon the hobby that’s quickly developed into a passion, but it’s now a part of me.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an expert. I shun the term “Foodie” for myself, because I’m not sure my experience or knowledge merits the term. I just like food and the act of preparing it. I also believe good food doesn’t have to be tough, it doesn’t have to take hours, it can be simple … and elegant (the best things in life are).
While easy or simple, I still make a mess.
